Peterhead Scottish Week remains the biggest and longest running weeklong gala in the country. Whilst other towns across Scotland host a ‘Scottish Week’ such as Forres and Stranraer; Peterhead remains the only original – having hosted the event each year since 1962 [including online/hybrid editions during covid-19 in 2020 and 2021].
The committee are made entirely of volunteers but the events can continue thanks to the generous donations of the townsfolk and sponsorship from local businesses.
